Oona King, former MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, London, was in the chair, with Inge Zaamwani-Kamwi, Managing Director of Namdeb, and Prof. David Simon, Geography Department, Royal Holloway College, University of London, speaking for the motion. Henning Melber of the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation, Sweden, and Tangeni Amupadhi, Editor of 'Insight', the monthly Namibian current affairs magazine, speak against the motion.
